Hello all!
I apologize for getting this out so late.
We will have our annual summer meeting at the Isanti County Fairground's, and we will be back under the pavilion. The date is Saturday, June 24th. We will have it from noon until 3pm. You can come early to watch and cheer on the Newfs in the show ring. I will try and send out another email when they have posted the time that Newfs show. We have to do things a little different this year. We normally have a potluck lunch, we grill and have our meeting.
When I called to verify that we had the pavilion this year, I was told that the Fairgrounds said no food. It was unclear if they thought we had something catered in or if they realized we were brining in our own food.
So this year I am saying it will be "bring your own lunch/beverage". There will be food trucks there if you wish to do that instead of brining something.
Parking, there will NO driving to the pavilion as like in past years. Parking will be in the main parking area out front. The fire marshal is getting more strict on how many vehicles can be parked in the fairgrounds to still be able to get their equipment in quickly and safely should the need arise. This will be heavily monitored by the fairgrounds.
Our program will be mostly informational. Why it is important to have dog shows, and Why is it important to find a responsible and ethical breeder. Both topics go hand in hand. These are questions I get asked quite frequently. And the latter is what I have observed while having done rescue for the last 10+ years.
Other topics to discuss at the meeting will be:
Rescue - fosters neededRegional Specialty - Trophy sponsors needed, stewards needed, general help National Specialty - In Duluth, Northstar to help with hospitalityMembership - Officers and board membersActivities - need volunteers to help organize, draft, water work, obedience, other activitiesFall meeting - Ideas for program??
Questions, please let me know! I look forward to see you all there!

Hi Missy,
Arthur, Austen, and I won’t be able to make it. It’s my daughter’s Graduation Open House that day. I look forward to seeing you all soon!

I will be on vacation that day. Camping out below the Oahe dam on the Missouri River. Have fun without us this year 🙂
