Hi All,

NorthStar’s Regional Specialty is fast approaching us. It’s a little over a month away. The dates are December 14th and 15th.
We discussed at the Fall meeting a couple of things reguarding the show. First off, what we are going to order for trophies this year. We are again going with Prairie Dog Pottery. I had proposed that we upsize the prizes a bit this year if we could get some people to sponsor them. Best of Breed and Best of Opposite will be totems with respective rosette toppers. (I’ve included pictures)
The total cost of the prizes are $500.
We did, at the meeting, get 6 people/couples to sponsor prizes totaling $260.
Thank you to: Ted Mittelstadt, Charles and Martha Turner, Bruce Hegg, Tammy Corrow, and Duane and Susie Manke for sponsoring prizes.
If anyone else would like to sponsor a prize, (we are asking for a minimum amount of $20), please let me know.

The second thing we discussed was needing help at the Specialty. What we need help with is all the ring side stuff. Either by being a ring steward, helping hand out prizes and ring favors, and, if we have enough stuff for it, maning a silent auction table.
Usually 2-3 people each day is plenty of help.
If you would like to help at the show, please let me know as well.

Attached are pictures of what the totems and what the rest of the prizes will look similar to.

Pottery bowls and plates will have a Newf in place of Dalmatian, but pattern will be similar to this.

The Prizes are for:
Best of Breed
Best of Opposite
Winners Dog
Winners Bitch
Best Veteran in Sweeps
And Best in Sweeps

Ted Sponsored a Best Of Breed for one day and Duane and Susie did Best Veteran for both days.
The others I will have to ask if they have a preference to which prize.
