For those of you who are NCA members, ballots arrived in the mail in the past few days. There are seven candidates and you can vote for six. No biographies were sent out, so some of the names may not be familiar (I suspect that the biographies are available through the new NCA members portal). My purpose in writing this is to introduce you to John O'Neill (one of the names put forward by the NCA nominating committee). John is a veterinarian from central Pennsylvania; he is very active with his dogs, (with his wife Erin) - they show in conformation, participate in working events and have started a very selective breeding program. I've come to know John well as a member of the Steering Committee. I've been the chair of this committee, which focuses on long term issues for the Newfoundland Club of America, for the past few years. I recently resigned as chairman, having identified John as a willing and able replacement. He has my vote, and I hope you will support him as well.
